  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) September 26, 2014 - AdvantaPure welcomes Lawrence Morano III as its new Eastern Regional Sales Manager. The position encompasses an expanded coverage area for the company's pharmaceutical and biologics fluid processing products. AdvantaPure manufactures bulk silicone tubing, AdvantaFlex(R) biopharmaceutical grade TPE tubing, single use molded manifold assemblies, BioClosure(R) container closures, tubing line sets and flexible process hose.

    AdvantaPure had coverage on the U.S. east coast and in Canada but determined more was needed. Its current outside sales staff was very involved with managing direct accounts close to its Southampton, Pennsylvania, headquarters.

    "There are many biopharm and pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., particularly in the east," noted Ken Baker, CEO. "In order to service them through our distribution network, we searched for someone who is knowledgeable about the industry and the products used, has plenty of experience in the coverage areas, and likes meeting people and helping them work out the best solutions for their applications."

    Morano's region includes the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and some Midwest areas, specifically New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. He will also manage AdvantaPure sales in the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario.

    Morano's experience involves outside sales in bioprocess and laboratory products to the biopharmaceutical industry. He has extensive knowledge of Single-Use systems, an area on which AdvantaPure has focused for several years now. Morano holds degrees in chemistry and political science, as well as an MBA from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business.
