Actor Vincent M. Ward To Play In Radio-Free 102.3 KJLH Celebrity Charity Basketball Game
This actor's heart leads him to give back to children and youth who are in need of programs that provide services and resources to make them great leaders for tomorrow.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2010 - Fans will be excited to know that actor Vincent M. Ward, who co-stared in sitcoms like "Girlfriends", "The Game", "Everybody Hates Chris", "True Blood", and "Hot In Cleveland", will join Radio-Free 102.3 KJLH in a celebrity charity basketball game against The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department benefiting the Marina Del Rey Sheriff's Station Youth Activities League.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the California State University at Dominguez Hills, 1000 East Victoria Street, Carson, CA.
Vincent's participation supports the Marina Del Rey Sheriff's Station Youth Activities League; it is a program that provides services and resources for at risk children and youth ages 8-17. In addition to Radio-Free 102.3 KJLH and The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department providing support for the Youth Activities League, the Event will go a step further and provide free tennis shoes for the first 500 youth attending the game. Donated by Charity organization Samaritan Feet, the shoes will be available on a first come first served basis while supplies last.
The game will feature squads consisting of KJLH Air Personalities, LA County Deputy Sheriffs, actors, recording artists and comedians. Celebrities scheduled to attend and participate include: Actor Vincent M. Ward, R&B superstar Brian McKnight, R&B artist Jon B, Songstress Kelly Price, Comedienne Kym Whitley and many others.
