  • (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2010 - Sheffield-based customer Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) has been shortlisted in the 'IT in Manufacturing' category for the use of its Access Supply Chain solution.

Access customers have been shortlisted in these awards for four years running and were also crowned winners in 2007 and 2009. The Manufacturer of the Year Awards will be held at the Chesford Grange in Kenilworth on Thursday 18th November. IFA is shortlisted in the 'IT in Manufacturing' category and will also take part in a judging day at the RBS Williams F1 Centre in Oxford where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate the success of their solution to the judges.

IFA's financial director, Craig Syson, said, "I'm absolutely delighted that we've been nominated for this award. Our Access Supply Chain system has helped the business grow considerably over the past five years, without it we wouldn't have achieved this level of growth and transformation. It's delivered a considerable return on investment that really has had a positive impact on the bottom line of the business."

Craig Such, managing director for Access manufacturing and distribution, commented, "We're very pleased to see IFA nominated for this award. Craig Syson has an exceptional understanding of how technology can help achieve business success and this nomination is testament to that commitment."
