  • San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) August 10, 2010 - Abundant Biofuels Corporation announced its intention to acquire American International Homes - Southwest. Its name will be changed to Abundant International Housing Corporation.

Established in 1993, American International Homes, Ltd. developed a building material and construction process known as the Insulated Structural Steel Building Panel System. The company has drawn upon more than thirty years of industry experience in the manufacture of insulated steel building panels. The Panel System utilizes a uniquely designed, proprietary insulated, steel panel combined with specific assembly and fastening components to create a highly cost effective, frameless, insulated structural panel system.

Abundant Biofuels President James Love stated that "AIH's international experience (e.g., Colombia, Russia, Mexico, Poland, Argentina Cote d'Ivoire) will be a major asset to Abundant Biofuels' work in developing countries."

The Panel System provides maximum strength and safety, optimum energy efficiency, ease of erection with minimum on site construction time, unlimited design flexibility, minimum requirements for skilled erection labor, significantly reduced repair and maintenance requirements, increased life expectancy, and maximum contribution to our environment. Overall erection time of the structure is significantly reduced. What normally takes 5- to 6-months using conventional construction methods can be completed in about 5- to -6 weeks. Reduced construction time results in lower financing costs, and significantly improved cash flow.

The structures provide insulation values in excess of most conventional systems, resulting in significantly reduced costs for heating and cooling, as much as 60%. The structures are specifically designed for the most severe climatic and seismic requirements: wind (150 mph - Category 5 Hurricane), snow (50 psf), and earthquake (Zone 4 Seismic).

Steven A. Rechtsteiner will be president of Abundant International Housing Corporation. Mr. Rechtsteiner, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and co-founder of American International Homes, Limited, has more than 40 years of professional experience in operations management, sales, marketing, strategic planning, new product development, mergers and acquisitions in domestic and international business environments. He is a residential contractor in the State of Florida and is the named inventor/co-inventor of more than 50 U.S. and foreign patents, including patents for the insulated structural steel building panel system.
