  • San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) May 02, 2013 - American Baptist Homes of the West is pleased to announce that Jeff Glaze, senior vice president and chief operations manager, recently joined the International Council on Active Aging's industry advisory board.

He was inspired to join the board after he heard Colin Milner, ICAA's founder, speak at ICAA's annual conference in 2011 and ABHOW's annual meeting in 2012.

Glaze will team with other experts in wellness, senior living communities, corporate fitness and the media to identify and respond to the needs of organizations that serve older adults.

"ABHOW has always been a leader in the push for successful aging, and the ICAAwas founded on the conviction that active, fully engaged older adults can significantly improve the quality of their lives," Glaze said. "I hope we can work together to break down the barriers and stereotypes that exist regarding aging."

Glaze, who has more than 33 years of leadership experience in senior living and health care financial management, joined ABHOW in 1998 as vice president of financial operations. Prior to that he served as controller for Children's Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, Calif.

Glaze earned a master of business administration degree from California State University-Hayward and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Idaho. He is an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
