Aastha Hospital organizes Free Medical Camp

- (1888PressRelease) August 11, 2011 - Ludhiana - Aastha Kidney & Super Speciality Hospital, made yet another effort to give back to society by organizing a medical awareness camp. Free tests on blood sugar for patients with high sugar levels was conducted. There was also free consultation with Chief Urologist Dr Sanjeev Gupta and Chief Nephrologist Dr Neena Gupta. Inspite of the heavy down pour more than 100 patients came for the check up.
Medicines were distributed free of cost along with free counselling by panel of doctors on Kidney awareness. While speaking to Dr Neena Gupta she said, " We organize such camps regularly , almost once a month."
Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, who has performed a number of rare and complicated surgeries, commented " There are a large number of patients with kidney stones who develop kidney failure and die due to delay in treatment. It is very sad situation, as kidney stones are completely curable and more than ninety five percent of kidney and ureteric stones can be removed by an Endoscopic surgery requiring a very short hospital stay of one to two days."
