AAPC, which currently has a membership base of more than 140,000 worldwide has expanded beyond its original charter of outpatient coding to include training and credentials in inpatient hospital/facility coding, medical billing, documentation and coding audits, regulatory compliance, and physician practice management.

"We are pleased to welcome Libman Education as an Approved Education Provider," said Raemarie Jimemez, AAPC's vice president of membership and certification. "They are recognized as experts and thought leaders in inpatient/facility coding, and their commitment to provide online CIC™ and COC™ exam prep courses with personal mentoring will ensure that candidates sitting for the exams will have received the 'gold standard' in preparation and training."
