Kara's HoPE is currently seeking support to help spread the message and generate involvement in fundraising efforts for special needs children.
- Gainesville, FL (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2011 - On October 28, Kara's Foundation for HoPE will host its first national raffle to continue to support the mission to help families with children with Holoprosencephally, a life limiting brain condition. On October 31, a second and final raffle of the year will follow.
The foundation will raffle off an heirloom quality, fully engraved, custom 1911 handgun from Ed Brown Products, Inc. Ed Brown has approximately 40 years in the custom firearms arena and is widely considered to be one of the finest makers of collectible 1911 pistols. This prize package also includes a custom alligator skin Galco Concelable holster set including holster, dress belt with a four piece silver buckle set and matching magazine pouch. The total package is valued over $8,000.
Kara's Hope is a non-profit organization devoted to improving the lives of special needs children and their families. One of their primary focuses is on children with a brain condition known as Holoprosencephally. HPE is generally a terminal condition where the brain has not fully developed during pregnancy.
The foundation provides support to families, whether it be counseling, emotional support or financial support due to gaps in their insurance coverage or families who have specialized equipment needs that insurance will not cover. The fundraising efforts support the endowment fund, which allows the foundation to continue offering direct support to these exceptional children and the parents who care for them.
