  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2010 - 5-time The Moth Story Slam winner and Hollywood voice-over artist Bill Ratner is off to the Prairie and the tall pines of Minnesota for the Great Upper Midwest Storytelling Tour 2010. On Saturday, July 31 at 7 p.m. he and friends will grace the space at the Potato Eaters Gallery at 330 Litchfield Ave. SW, Willmar, MN for a storytelling event, and on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 6 and 7, he joins the Twin Cities Theater Stories group at the Pillsbury House Theatre, 3501 Chicago Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN. Stories will include raw, powerful, quirky true tales - the good, the bad, the funny, the tragic, and the triumphant.

The Twin Cities Theater Stories tellers are a group of actors from Hollywood and New York returning to their home town to tell true stories. The actors are Heidi Arneson (multidisciplinary artist and comedienne), Chris Mulkey (24, Law & Order, Twin Peaks), Ratner, local legend Jim Stowell (Rainy River, Traveling Light), Mim Solberg & Mike Green (both with distinguished careers on-stage in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and New York), and Michael Yonkers (internationally known actor, dancer, and underground musician).

The Potato Eaters Gallery in Willmar is a large space that features the sculpture and oil paintings of local artists Maria Horvath and John Stout.

Pillsbury House Theatre is part of Pillsbury United Communities, a non-profit organization that is "creating choice, change, and connection for people of all walks of life." Its live professional theatre intends to "get the senses working overtime with theatre that is up close and personal."
