This new annual event is the perfect way for participants to enjoy a day of golf while helping those who don't have the money to obtain the legal representation they require.
Gene Ertle, Sr., was a Jersey City lawyer who understood that some people simply could not afford the legal representation they needed, leaving them to attempt to defend themselves in a court of law. These self-defense cases were not typically the most successful. He would help anyone who needed it, regardless of the type of case in which they were involved.
Ertle's dream was to provide the quality service and legal representation to everyone who needed it, regardless of their ability to pay. His son, Gene Ertle, II, decided to make his dream come true with the introduction of this golf tournament. All funds raised at the tournament are placed in a fund to provide legal services to those who cannot afford it.
