  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) May 10, 2014 - The Fibroids Project presents a city-wide Uterine Fibroids Online Conference on Saturday, June 14, 2014 focused on the Philadelphia tri-state area and Delaware Valley Region with the expectance of primarily 1,000 African-American women.

    The City of Philadelphia hosts the Uterine Fibroids Online Conference series, who will partner with several major Philadelphia based health organizations. The Fibroids project has entrusted Philadelphia's strong community engagement blank to launch their series. With the support of City Council and the Mayor, it is their hope to make June 14th, 2014 Fibroids Awareness Day. The Fibroids Project plans to bring in over 1,000 women to register for the online conference.

    The Uterine Fibroids Conference will feature nationally recognized fibroids researchers and physicians, Elizabeth Stewart, MD, and Ayman Al-Hendy, MD, PhD. Both leading doctors will present their cutting-edge research on prevention and removal of fibroids and will to answer attendee's questions live during the event.
