  • (1888PressRelease) September 03, 2014 - Thousands are expected to flock to the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at the Historic Ka'upulehu for the 18th Annual Run for Hope happening this September 7 to 9, 2014.

Run for Hope is a non-competitive 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk whose proceeds go to cancer research in Hawaii. For the entire weekend, attendees can also participate in various events that let them experience the best of the Aloha State while also contributing to a good cause. Since its first year, Run for Hope has raised over $1 million for cancer research.

On its opening night (Friday), Run for Hope participants will be treated to a "Taste of Hawaii," where Hawaii's top chefs will present their signature dishes featuring many local ingredients, especially fish and seafood and tropical fruits and vegetables. There will also be a silent auction at the event, which will be held at the Hoku Ampitheatre.

Golf and tennis tournaments are scheduled on Saturday, at the Hualalai Golf Course and the Hualalai Tennis Club, respectively. Designed by legendary American golf pro Jack Nicklaus, the golf course is a 7,100-yard golfer's paradise offering spectacular views of the lush hills, black lava, and the Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, the resort's tennis pavilion takes pride in its eight Rebound Ace surface courts, as well as a tennis club with a full range of tennis gear for men, women and children.

Finally, Sunday will see children aged 1 to 12 gather for the Keiki Dash for Hope, and the participants for the 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run.

All tournaments will end with an awards ceremony and reception.
