  • (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2013 - Atlanta, GA - Teen Author Stone Erickson has been nominated by the prestigious African American Literary Awards Show for his first novel "Black Angel" as Science Fiction Author of the Year. The 15-year-old has received rave reviews for his novel and countless recognition for his efforts to combat youth literacy especially in the young black male community.

    "It's amazing to me that I am nominated for an African American Literary Award. It's a honor to be even considered," says Stone Erickson. "Having my book published was a dream come true for me and I hope this inspires other people to follow their dreams and never give up."

    The African American Literary Awards Show recognizes, honors, celebrates and promotes excellence within African American literature each year. The Science Fiction Author of The Year category applauds those who display the best imaginative stories in the genre.
