  • (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2011 - The CWC Group announced that the 14th Gulf of Guinea Oil & Gas Conference will return to its roots in Africa, and will be now an integral part of Africa Energy Week. Africa Energy Week will run from 20 to 23 September and will serve as a platform to bring together what is set to be the largest and most senior forum of decision makers to focus on African oil and gas issues this year in Africa.

    Previously held in South Africa, Africa Energy Week has now moved to Accra, Ghana and will deliver a 3 day programme to focus on promoting investment within Africa's thriving hydrocarbon sector, specifically focusing upon Gulf of Guinea Oil & Gas, African Local Content and the East Africa region.

    The Gulf of Guinea Oil & Gas Conference has enjoyed 13 successful events in London and will now focus on strengthening its regional roots. Featuring case studies from Nigeria, Angola, Ghana and Equatorial Guinea, as well as Ministers and senior government representatives such as Dr Joe Oteng Adjei, Minister of Energy, Ghana, Gabriel Obiang Lima, Minister Delegate, Mines, Industry and Energy, Equatorial Guinea, H.E. William Ngeleja, Minister of Energy & Minerals, Tanzania and H.E. Ogunlade Davidson, Minister of Energy & Water Resources, Sierra Leone to name few, the sessions will address issues and developments, as well as potential business developments for the Gulf.

    Africa Energy Week fully focuses on the development of the African nations' resources. The speaker line-up for the programme will feature representatives from the continent's respective governments, as well as from national and international companies operating within the various regions. This year's event is the 3rd edition of African Energy Week; previous events have welcomed over 300 delegates from across the continent, past attendees and exhibitors include delegation from PetroSA, Shell Nigeria, ExxonMobil, EG LNG, GEPetrol, Sonangol.
