  • Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2020 - 1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced today that they will reopen their tasting lounge on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 4pm after being closed by the state since March 16th. With their reopening, they will have two new products available in cocktails and as bottle purchases: Wingman Gin and Code Four 115 Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

“Two days after we were closed by Governor Polis’ ‘Stay at Home Order’ because of the Coronavirus, we released our much anticipated Wingman Gin that represents our United States Air Force. We haven’t been able to make a single gin cocktail in our tasting lounge because of our closure,” stated vice-president and owner, Abbie Weien. “That is until now. The Wingman Gin is derived from the same Colorado sugar beet sugar that we make the Minuteman Vodka with. We add juniper berries and six other botanical ingredients to create our “Colorado Dry Gin” which is both a Colorado Proud product and truly gluten free spirit.”

Coinciding with the distillery’s reopening, the public will be able to pick-up pre-ordered online bottle purchases of 1350 Distilling’s newest product, the Code Four 115 Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey. In-store purchases will also be available exclusively for a short time at their tasting lounge. “Very few people have tasted this three-year, 99% corn, 115 proof straight bourbon,” Weien continued, “but those that have, adore it. It has already gained much appreciation because we are dedicating it to all law enforcement.”

The term, “Code Four” in police terms means “everything is good and safe”. 1350 Distilling had been planning for the product release months ago prior to the George Floyd death and subsequent protesting of police brutality. “Despite the current events, we at 1350 Distilling feel that our law enforcement needs to know more than ever that we celebrate them and their loved ones for their commitment and dedication to a better society,” Weien stated.
