  • Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2020 - 1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced today they raised $255.00 during their recent product release campaign of their newest distilled spirit dedicated to first responders and firefighters. The Five Alarm Cinnamon Fire Bourbon first was available for pre-order on the distillery’s website at 1350Distilling.com on September 1, 2020. Individuals that pre-ordered were able to then pick up their purchases on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the 1350 Distilling’s Taste Lounge at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. Both online and in-person bottle sales were accounted for from September 1-12. A total of 33 bottles were sold.

“13.50% of all Five Alarm bottles sold plus in-house donations from 1350 Distilling’s guests accounted for the $255.00 donation,” stated part-owner and vice-president, Abbie Weien.

The money collected will be donated to the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO’s Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Fund.

The Memorial is an annual event hosted by the Local 5 IAFF Colorado Springs Chapter. Each year names of firefighters across America and Canada who have passed “in the line of duty” are added to the Wall of Honor Memorial housed in Colorado Springs’ Memorial Park. This year 245 names will be added, although the memorial will be held virtually.

The Fund provides Honorees’ family members and loved ones’ travelling expenses, food, and lodging to attend each year’s Wall of Honor Ceremony. At the Memorial, Honorees’ names are announced and their family is presented with an American flag acknowledging their Honoree’s ultimate sacrifice.

1350 Distilling’s name is inspired by the 13 stripes and 50 stars of the Star Spangled Banner. Each of their products represent a different branch of the military with the last two spirits being dedicated to law enforcement, first responders, and firefighters.
