  • Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) October 01, 2019 - 1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced today that the new business will be donating $315.56 to the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO’s Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Fund. The money was collected in 1350 Distilling’s Taste Room and HQ at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs last weekend during the Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial held each year at Memorial Park. The distillery donated 13.50% of the price of all bottles and merchandise sold during the weekend to the Colorado Springs IAFF Local 5 Chapter.

“We had so many fire fighters from all over,” stated 1350 Distilling owner and head distiller, Phill Bragg. “Folks from Las Vegas, Tucson, Kansas City, Texas and even Canada. They had a great time relaxing in our cocktail lounge and every bottle of Guardian Bourbon and T- shirt they bought helped the cause.”

1350 Distilling’s name is inspired by the 13 stripes and 50 stars of the Star Spangled Banner. Each of their products represent a different branch of the military.

Bragg said, “We celebrate the American Spirit of our military and their loved ones, one drink at a time, but this past weekend we extended that American 1350 Spirit to our fire fighters. We have already pledged ten percent of our profits to veteran and local charities but since we just opened this month we wanted to do something special for the firefighters. This seemed like a great start to our charitable efforts and we were honored that they stopped by to see us and heartened by the support we got from the rest of the community. It was a great weekend.”

1350 Distilling opened their doors to the public at the beginning of September 2019 with little fanfare. They are planning a Grand Opening Veterans Day Weekend, November 8-10th.
