    Every day, silent heroes all over the world are fighting to provide clean water, unpolluted air, and healthy food in their communities. The WAFA Awards recognize these pioneers’ achievements, giving them a platform for exposure, and access to funding and support.

    COPENHAGEN, Denmark–June 2018–The Water Air Food Awards—WAFA opened their “Finals Voting” on World Environment Day, 5 June 2018.

    Voting is online, at http://wafaward.org/polling/ , and promoted via international television, social media and organisational networks. The winner and runners-up will be announced at the gala event - WAFA Awards 2018 . Winners in each Category are flown to the destination, provided with accommodation, and given an opportunity to present their initiatives to a global audience. The winners receive a trophy for the best-practice initiative and WAFA’s support in global media coverage. This garners attention from corporations and organizations that can support, scale and replicate expansion to reach more people in need.

    The WAFA 2018 Awards will be celebrated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 24 October 2018.
    The ceremony will be held during Kind Malaysia Expo, a pilot initiative by United Business Media Asia on 24 & 25 October 2018. With “Giving Back” as the central theme, this expo is geared towards bringing together humanitarian organizations in Malaysia, enabling them to highlight their impact on people's’ lives, and to enabling the public, corporations and government agencies to engage with them and their initiatives.
