Excerpt from the Book:
"Comfrey pulled the pea pod from its pouch and held it tight in his hand; he took a deep breath and flapping his wings furiously. He rose in a vertical line, straight up, and then once he was sure he was high enough he flew directly at the fighting fairies and at the earwig leader. Comfrey kissed the pea pod and threw it with all his might at the feet of the earwig leader.
The pod exploded open and Comfrey hovered to watch as a puff of purple smoke escaped from the pod. The earwig leader seemed to stop moving and it was as if the time surrounding him had stopped. The fairies stopped fighting and looked up at Comfrey in amazement. At that moment a wasp that had spotted Comfrey flew at him, the wasp grabbed hold of Comfrey by the wings and was repeatedly stinging him. Comfrey lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
Sage, who had been watching the whole thing, flew as hard as he could, he caught hold of Comfrey in his arms and gently brought him down to safety of the rock.
"Quick, he's been stung," Sage stammered. "Get those young dock leaves, I'll squeeze out the poison and we will wrap him in them."
