The first anti-hunger activity starts on Monday, Nov. 17TH. The event will be hosted in conjunction with the New Hope 5th Ward Agency's truck, which will be present at the Lighthouse Church's parking lot. 50,000 lbs of food will distributed by the church's Seasoned Citizen's Ministry. The goal is to feed the elderly and needy families within the community.

Additionally, Houston Police Department's own Police Captain (of the Northeast Division), Gregory Fremin will be present for this event.

The next event will be held on Saturday, November 22nd. The youth and adults of The LightHouse Church will be collaborating with Interfaith Ministries at the San Jacinto/Elgin location. Both groups will work together to package food that will feed thousands of elderly people within the local community.

The third initiative and event will be held on December 20th. The youth and adults of The LightHouse Church will again package food intended for Christmas distribution on Sunday, December 21st. The Church will complete this initiative on December 21st by celebrating the conclusion of the 'Feeding the Soul' anti-hunger campaign. The 21st will be a day dedicated to the true spirit of giving by providing locals in need with Christmas grocery packages and the giving of turkeys (sponsored by Good Life Entertainment). This is the 2nd year Good Life Entertainment has partnered on this initiative. Finally, a bicycle give-away (for children of all ages) will end the event.

Members of the media are encouraged to help the 'Feeding the Soul' anti-hunger campaign by sharing this information via print, broadcast, and social media platforms.
