For the first time in the Greater Kansas City area, Extreme Makeover will be kicking of this exciting build with an "Extreme Makeover Pep Rally" on Tuesday, July 19th, at 6 p.m. at the Overland Park Convention Center (6000 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS, 66211). We encourage the community to start this journey with the Extreme Team and become engaged in transforming a family's life. The Pep Rally, managed by EPIC Entertainment, Inc., will showcase M.A.C. Corporation and Canyon Creek Construction, LLC, co-builders and primary subcontractors for this project, who have been selected to carry out this specific build. The Pep Rally will also highlight our generous trade partners, EMHE producer Milan Vasic, project managers, volunteers as well as key participants. Without their help, this project would not happen.

Festival entertainment will be provided by the Marching Cobras and Vodvill Entertainment inside and outside the ballroom. Extreme t-shirts will be for sale with proceeds benefiting the Family Build Fund. The public is invited and strongly encouraged to attend the "Extreme Makeover Pep Rally" and to volunteer at the build site. This is a FREE event and open to all ages.

Averaging 2,500 volunteers per show and more than 400,000 volunteers total, it is extremely important to have participation from the local communities in order to make this another successful build. We greatly need volunteers (18 and older) to donate their time at the build site. If interested please sign up at www.joinextreme.com/kansas. Volunteer needs include serving food and drinks, cleaning and stocking food and of course, supporting our build teams and the lucky family. Additionally, skilled tradesmen are still needed. If you'd like to donate food or supplies, please submit requests to www.joinextreme.com/kansas. Media requests should be sent to Jenny Kincaid at jenny ( @ ) socialwrx dot com, and to obtain media credentials, media must register at www dot joinextreme dot com/kansas under "Media Registration" dot

Averaging more than 8 million viewers per show, it's available in 185 counties in 58 languages and has 850,000 Facebook fans. The Greater Kansas City area communities are encouraged to join our "Extreme Makeover" crew by volunteering their time in order to make this build the most meaningful and beneficial makeover yet. Each episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who all have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house - every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping - for free! The result should be a decorator's delight…if it can be done in time.
