  • (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2011 - The company based on Acton Street in Long Eaton, struck a deal with the North African based oil firm which has so far seen three students from Libya study for both SQL and .Net qualifications, with many other students expected to follow suit in the coming months.

Rocco Roberts, Managing Director at the firm who offer MCSE training courses, MCITP training and MCPD training to those seeking to further their career and obtain new skills, said: "It is no secret that the North African state of Libya is currently suffering at the hands of a bloody civil war which began back in February, so naturally we were more than surprised to get a call from a major oil firm over there asking if we would train up some of their students over a six month period.

The 2011 Libyan civil war is still an ongoing armed conflict being fought between forces loyal to the country's de facto ruler Muammar Gaddafi and those seeking to depose him. The protests escalated into a country-wide uprising, with forces supporting Mustafa Abdul Jalil establishing a government based in Benghazi named the National Transitional Council.

Rocco continued: "Despite all of the conflict back home and the language barrier, the students have so far all passed their exams with 95-98 per-cent accuracy, which demonstrates just how easy our IT training is to understand. Despite having serious concerns back home, our students have all managed to further their careers and add to their existing skill set.

"The exams taken by the students include .Net web applications in visual studio 2008, MCPD (professional) Enterprise Developer and MCTIP Database Developer."

So far this year, 500 students have flown to the UK from Libya in order to take part in IT training, but for the three Long Eaton based students, their main focus was to solve their web based application issues, after it was decided that all of their networked applications would be placed on the web in a bid to make them more accessible.
