    About the Book:
The climate science is clear. Global warming is an urgent and largely man-made problem. The same science shows that, without a comprehensive global response, within a few short decades, death-dealing runaway global heating is absolutely assured. Unhappily, it is equally obvious that the chance of the necessary action being taken is precisely zero!

The result of this is that, during the lifetime of your grandchildren, the sweeping aside of human civilisation through a succession of climate wars will become assured. By 2100 humanity, battered by an array of catastrophic climate disasters, will have witnessed a grim cull of billions of its numbers.

This future is not science fiction. The unforgiving thesis of this book is that the climate science and today's facts on the ground, lead inextricably to such a nightmarish tomorrow for our grandchildren - and it is my generation above all others, that will have done it to them.

    Excerpt from "Apocalypse Tomorrow":
"The science is clear. The climate models are adamant. We've only had human civilisation for around 10,000 years and in that period the climate has been unusually stable. In that time we haven't experienced changes as high as 1°C. We don't realise how bad they can be, though with warming of 0.85°C having already taken place, we're beginning to see some of the consequences including superstorms, unprecedented droughts and major flooding.

At this point, I would direct you once again to Mark Lynas' book 'Six Degrees'. Having trawled through tens of thousands of peer reviewed scientific papers he wrote his degree-by-degree guide to the planet's future. He set out what the science said 1°C of warming will bring; what 2°C will bring…. all the way up to what 6°C would mean.

In a nutshell, 1°C of warming has very bad consequences and 2°C of warming has very, very bad results. (3°C up to 6°C causes catastrophic climate change, threatening the very existence of most life on earth, including us.)

His book was first published in 2007. Since then, the position has deteriorated. Ever increasing amounts of CO2 have continued to be pumped into the atmosphere, and more and more scientific evidence has been produced to substantiate the gloomy predictions of climate catastrophe as the world warms. The climatic consequences of 1°C or 2°C of warming are constantly being revised upwards.

Still finding it difficult to believe that a few degrees of warming can be so lethal?
