Sarasota-Bradenton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2010 - Three artists, Gregg Stecker, Toby Thompson and Laura Eklund will show and discuss their work as well as the approach they take to conceive it - from graphic art to visionary. The show, "An Eclectic Approach," combines different styles of work - offering something for a variety of artistic tastes. "I wanted to put a show together that would cover a variety of preferences and tastes," say Gallery owner Lori Frary. "I believe we've achieved that with this group of artists. No matter what your preference, you won't be disappointed and you may discover something completely new and fresh."

Gregg Stecker creates with acrylic on canvas and has mastered a style of brush stroke that takes impressionism to a new level. His paintings seem almost pixilated and he works from abstract to representational in the blink of an eye.

Toby Thompson's first career was as a graphic artist in NY before adopting Sarasota as his new home. His paintings occasionally combine elements from funky, colorful poster ads. He is also known as a talented, abstract fine artist. He donates many graphics to local non-profit organizations and enjoys giving back to the Sarasota community.

Laura Eklund will be joining us from Kentucky to display her visionary oils and collages. She has traveled all the way to the Florence Biennale and has established a reputation as an artist and a poet. Laura's work is currently displayed in five galleries in the US, from Portland to Sarasota.
