  • (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2011 - NORFOLK, Virginia - The high-rated dance television series, which will broadcast on the My TVZ Network, "Karma Butler's American Dance Legend" today announced a special guest appearance by Hollywood's celebrity actress/singer Tichina Arnold that will be featured during the series' Episode 2, October 15 (11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. ET).

    The hosts of ADL Season 2 include Karma Butler, and Paige Todd a.k.a. Bosslady, who join previously announced dance contestants Kyleigh Albert, Danielle Barks, Victoria Campbell, Hunter Darnell, Breajai Davis, Alexys Dawson, Megan Henning, Brooke Prentice, Tiarra Roscoe, Mary Alice Swanson, and Kirstin Winslow.

    American recording artist, choreographer, dancer, actor, and producer, Karma Butler, is the creator of ADL and is a rapidly emergent entertainment industry entrepreneur. To date Butler has amassed an astounding 3 albums published by his Record Label, Hear Karmic Music, a #1 song charting single featured by Sony, 2 television series, 1 television pilot, 2 starring roles in commercials for Chevrolet and Fox, and has appeared on television and film works including "American Pie," "The Dating Game," and "FBI Files." Butler's talents as a model earned him a featured spot in an international Citibank add campaign that is distributed globally.     Legendary entertainer and Image Award-winning artist Tichina Arnold is the cousin of Karma Butler and has coached and inspired the dream and veracity of Butler's entertainment career since babysitting him as a young child. In 1986, Tichina Arnold appeared as Crystal, in Frank Oz's film musical Little Shop of Horrors along with future Martin co-star Tisha Campbell. In February 1987 Arnold scored her first big break on television, with a permanent role on the soap opera Ryan's Hope. Her critically lauded role, as young heroine Zena Brown, landed her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1988. Arnold's best-known television role was Pamela James on Martin Lawrence's sitcom Martin (1992-1997).

    She also played the role of Nicole Barnes on the sitcom One on One. In 2000, she was reunited with Martin Lawrence in Big Momma's House. In 2007, she again reunited with Lawrence (this time as his wife) in the big screen road comedy/buddy film Wild Hogs. In 2003, she appeared in Civil Brand. In a departure from her normally comedic casting, she played the title role in The Lena Baker Story, which was about the first woman to be executed by the electric chair in Georgia. Arnold played the role of the matriarch, Rochelle, on the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris which premiered in September 2005 and ended in May 2009. Arnold has experienced success as a recording artist; she co-wrote and performed the duet, "Movin Up," which reached #2 on the Billboard Club Play chart with house music artist Inaya Day. Tichina Arnold currently stars as the best friend of Fran Drescher in the TV Land sitcom "Happily Divorced," which is based on Fran Drescher's former marriage.
