  • (1888PressRelease) January 23, 2012 - On February 11, 2012, McDonald's of Central Arkansas will present the ninth annual Chocolate Fantasy Ball, with proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas. Top breeder of English Cream Golden Retrievers, Wisteria Goldens of Parks, AR, has donated a female puppy with all the accessories to the charity.

The puppy, which is to be auctioned during the event, comes with everything a dog needs for a happy, healthy start in life. Wisteria Goldens plans to send her to her new home with a leash and collar, bowls, toys, a crate, and even a basket of Life's Abundance premium dog food and pet care products.

"We've been asked to donate puppies for many worthy causes over the years, but we've always declined. We feel strongly that a dog is a lifetime commitment, and not something to be given away to a random stranger," says Debbie Franklin, owner of Wisteria Goldens. "But with personal friends - and owners of three of our pups - on the board of directors (Clark & Janelle Mason and Rob Clancy) of the charity, we feel confident the puppy we donate will find a loving, forever home."

"Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas does such important work for sick children and their families. We really wanted to do something to help, and we couldn't think of a better fit than a puppy," said Franklin, adding, "We're just thrilled to be able to participate in such an important fundraising event."

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Arkansas enhances the lives of children and their families by creating and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. These programs include the Ronald McDonald House® and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®. The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families with ill children being treated at local hospitals. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a 40-foot, state-of-the-art mobile clinic that provides free dental care and educational services to underserved children in their own neighborhoods.

Wisteria Goldens is located in Parks, AR, and is known for producing top-quality English Cream Golden Retrievers. For more information about Wisteria Goldens, contact Debbie Franklin at (479) 431-4565.
