  • (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2011 - With areas of high pressure influencing the weather over the UK for much of the month of April, there was plenty of fine warm weather to enjoy outdoor activities and with the added bonus of two very long bank holiday weekends not to mention a Royal Wedding thrown in BBQBarbecues announced record barbecue sales on their e-commerce website

    According to news reports from the National BBQ Association it is thought that between 7 million and 7.5 million BBQ's were started over the two bank holiday weekends whilst the country basked in the sunshine.

    Sales of portable gas barbecues have seen more than a 100% rise on last year indicating that people are choosing to take their holidays in the UK during these tough economic times.
