July 27, 2007 - Ruvin Orbach, a writer-director, learned a lot from his famous cousin Jerry Orbach from "Law and Order" fame. Ruvin who is inspired from Jerry's long and successful career makes a successful dramatic film entitled "Lucky Man."
The film was recently sold for U.S distribution and will be on Netflix in August. Ruvin reveals,"Jerry was impressive because he did such a wide range of work, I want to be that kind of writer-director!"
Ruvin is currently in pre-production on a comedy entitled "Big Man" and is a sought after screenwriter in Hollywood. Frank Vincent from "The Sopranos" states, "I have seen few directors with that much power!"
It goes to show that Jerry Orbach has influenced his cousin Ruvin Orbach as an artist and filmmaker!
