  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) June 29, 2010 - The New Jersey Chapter of the American Marketing Association (NJAMA) announced its Board of Directors for the 2010-2011 year.

    Board members were elected by the membership after being chosen by the NJAMA Nominating Committee which had representation from current Chapter members-at-large, including board members from previous years. Many of the Board candidates held prior Vice President and committee member roles.

    The new Board of Directors is an experienced group of marketing professionals:

    President Sandy Ghezzi has 20 years of experience leading major national brands for Fortune 100 companies including Unilever, Nabisco and General Mills. She is currently Vice President, Marketing, Member Services, and Education for the global Craft and Hobby Association. Ghezzi holds an MBA with a marketing concentration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University.

    Andre Paquin, President-Elect and Vice President, Branding & Communications is owner of Andre Paquin Associates, a brand consulting company helping Fortune 500 customers maximize their corporate and brand identity management practices. Paquin is a veteran of more than 30 years in marketing having worked for Fortune 500 big brand companies as well as Madison Avenue corporate and brand identity consultancies prior to beginning his own practice in 2004.

    Robert Tabor, Treasurer, is a partner in the accounting firm Tabor & Company, CPAs, and has more than 18 years of experience in accounting, tax, business, and computer consulting. Tabor has a BS degree from Villanova.

    Natalie Piccotti, Vice President of Programming has over 15 years of experience in strategic business operations and project management with Pfizer. She is currently the Marketing Manager at Bowker, the world's leading provider of bibliographic information and U.S. ISBN agency. Piccotti has an MBA with a marketing concentration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, an MA from Wayne State University and a BA from Michigan State University.

    Judith Ottenstroer, Vice President, Member Retention, is a Senior Research Associate with MarketTools. Throughout her career, she worked with various Fortune 500 companies to design and implement enterprise-wide solutions. Ottenstroer holds a BA in Sociology from Montclair State University and a BS in Statistics from Laureate University.

    Susan Root, Vice President, Member Acquisition, is Director, Conference Business Services for IEEE. Previously, Root held senior marketing and management positions for Fortune 100 as well as start-up technology companies. She has an undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Colorado State University.

    Melissa Zanardi, Vice President of Social Media, holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Fordham University and a BS in Retailing/Business from Hood College. Zanardi has over 20 years of experience in marketing, management and sales working in the Retailing/Fashion, Pharmaceutical/Consumer, and Social Networking Industries. Her business expertise centers on using marketing techniques to build interest, drive sales and increase loyalty.

    Jay Moldave, Vice President of Technology, is President of Moldave Designs, an award-winning design and marketing firm. He was a design instructor at William Paterson University and Union County College. Moldave has a BA in Fine Art from Adelphi University.

    Lynne Mitchnick, Vice President of Affinity Programs, is President and Owner of MR Solutions, Inc., a full-service market research consultancy located in New Jersey. She holds an MA in Sociology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Mitchnick has designed, implemented and analyzed market research in more than 40 countries. She teaches seminars on a wide range of market research topics, customized to meet client organization needs.

    Immediate Past President Elizabeth (Liz) Goetz, is Vice President Marketing and Sales for Lion Technology. Liz holds an MA from the University of Delaware and has over 10 years of B2B multichannel marketing expertise.

    In addition to the elected Board officers, Secretary Lisa Danwalder was appointed by the Board to that position following a callout to the general membership for candidates. Danwalder is Senior Buyer, Marketing Services with Johnson & Johnson and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt for process excellence. Previously, she led a cross-functional team to improve operational efficiency as Project Manager. Danwalder is a 2004 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.
