  • (1888PressRelease) April 25, 2017 - Detroit, Michigan - In an effort to support the fastest growing entrepreneurial segments in the nation, African American and Hispanic American women, and provide them with a forum to connect and have a meaningful, interactive dialogue about funding their businesses to foster growth, the Women of Color Entrepreneurial Circle (WOCEC) has partnered with PNC Bank to present PowerCluster: Access to Capital Business Forum, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, 5:30pm at CHASS Center in Southwest Detroit.

This free event is hosted by the Women of Color Entrepreneur Circle, an initiative whose mission is to educate and provide women of color a forum to collaborate, network, and grow sustainable businesses and long-term entrepreneurial wealth, while cultivating a holistic life balance.

"We know for a fact, every year the number of women-owned businesses increases. And as leaders of the Chamber it is our responsibility to not only encourage and uplift entrepreneurs, yet to also educate them on any new resources or opportunities available to help them succeed," said Executive VP of the Michigan Black Chamber of Commerce, Ivy Simmons.

This is the organization's first public business forum of the year, offering an open and honest discussion about how to effectively fund your business - with real insight from banking and legal experts.

Along with the opportunity to gain significant insight on how to fund your business, PNC Bank professionals will offer valuable business banking strategies. Guests will also enjoy relationship building with fellow business owners, signature cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres. Event partners include sister chambers the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, Gregory Terrell and Company, Walkers Legacy, and Cabresto Tequila.
