The Movement Begins

It started with a dream and vision to impact the next generation of women leaders but will end with heartfelt memories for years to come. In the world of women empowerment people are use to the traditional conventions and business conferences that are ran by women. What is the ultimate plan of a young man that adds a documentary, soundtrack, a meet & greet nationwide tour and a award show to the mix. Everyone is aware of how different it is but that is the same reason why it's so intriguing. A movement is not about following the pack, it's about leading the pack to an unfamiliar territory. The unfamiliar territory that we are speaking of has the power to bring people together like never before.

Kenneth Monroe never had a handout. He is self made, every accomplishment was earned and he will never associate with anyone who doesn't believe in contribution. He is only 32 but has been around long enough to know what it takes to be successful. This campaign has been an eye opener for a guy who normally doesn't experience the frustrations that presented itself throughout the casting process. The percentage of talkers in the world out weighs the percentage of people that are about action by far. Society tells us to become successful you have to work hard. What we fail to realize is that most people want to tell you how to be successful when they haven't even made it to that point. Any real successful person will tell you that it takes money to make money and it takes money to expand. Successful people don't make excuses why they can't do something, they find a way to get it done. That key element shows drive, it shows determination and it seperates a individual from the next.
Monroe created a brilliant challenge that showed him alot about up and coming women. It showed him the women that are ready for success and it showed him the women that have a long way to go before they will ever expand if they ever do. Each individual was responsible for getting 15 guests to buy a cheap ticket to a red carpet mixer that will take place in each city during the campaign. The mixer is about teaching the women the importance of networking, branding and getting in touch with the people. Monroe felt that if the mixer is about them and for them then they should be able to handle a simple task. He gave them details but he left out certain details on purpose so that he can see what women fit the description of this campaign. As with everything else in life, some people fail while others succeed.

When Monroe was creating this project, he was a stranger to the women and they were strangers to him. What has made him successful over the years is that he understands love. When you think of love you think of a strong connection. To produce a campaign with many different type of women from all over the nation you have to earn their trust. You have to make them feel comfortable, make them understand that you have their best interest, make them understand that they can come to you if they need to talk, they have to know that you won't judge them and most importantly you have to sink your teeth into their hearts.

There are two type of individuals that will come into your life. One individual will be someone for a positive reason and there are the individuals that just strictly come into your life to frustrate you. In a perfect world everyone would have the qualities to become successful but in the real world many people are not built to be successful. For all of the women who have wasted Monroe's time throughout this process from lack of drive, he appreciates the women on the team who now he considers as family.

Scouting locations for the tour took a combination of Monroe selling the venue on his accomplishments as well as the campaign's vision. During a trip to San Diego he met an Italian woman who has been one of the top restaurant owners in San Diego for the past 15 years. She is the definition of class, beauty, success and leadership. After meeting with Monroe, not only did she want her venue on the beach to host his San Diego tour date but they also went into future business about collaborating.

Monroe's power reaches many people in many different industries and that is his niche which is undeniable. One of the premier Women Empowerment leaders in the world who runs arguably the number one Women Empowerment Conference known to women met Monroe at a charity event for kids that they co hosted together. She instantly became a Monroe supporter as that day has carried over to a friendship and a certain level of respect.

As we leave you with great thoughts, the final message has to be delivered from the man himself. People know what he's doing but I don't think they realize how many people he is helping on this campaign. He is helping the women involved with their network, brand and resume which will be upgraded. He is helping the guests for the meet & greets in every city by connecting them with new people that may turn into some business. He is helping the venues by making them money and giving them exposure. He is helping charities involved by giving them exposure and inspiration. He is helping his behind the scenes team by letting them be apart of this. He is helping very successful women by honoring them at the award show and connecting them with other women on their level for future business. This campaign is about the up and coming women but look how many individuals will get help from Monroe at the same time. Were talking thousands of people so giving back is a understatement when you take all of this into consideration.

This is history im creating and that is not opinionated. I've always been a leader, trendsetter. The business world didn't make me that. I was born with it. I noticed what I had but to get the most out of it means I had to understand how to use it. Empowering women is something i've always been good at. Business is something i've always been good at. When you combine the two it becomes a very big splash. I never come across as perfect because it's impossible. We make mistakes and we will continue to make them. The key is learning and growing from them. My faliures through the years is what brought my success. Success is bouncing back from failing. Every up and coming person is going to fail before they experience success.
Trials and tribulations is apart of the game. It's easy to fail and quit but when you can fail and keep going then something good will be around the corner. That's what I try to teach the women. Take risks, think outside the box and just try. Think positive and go into every situation with a positive outlook and leave the baggage behind. I always prayed and told God don't give me success if it's going to change who i am as a person. Life and people is more important to me than success and money. That stuff come and go but your heart doesn't. I can't be fake, i can't be shady: it's just not me. I've been able to do things young minorities don't do.
The odds were against me before I even got into business. For me to have crossed over to 95% of my network being outside of my race is tremendous. I pride myself on that because it is every minorities's dream and that's where the real opportunites come from. You know your successful when celebrity women you had crushes on come to your parties, call you, when celebrity guys you looked up to is coming to your parties, when rich people is letting you run their companies, when you are sitting in on meetings with big studio heads talking about investments, when rich women do you favors when they charge everyone else, when you go back to your hometown and everyone from each generation tell you how proud they are, how you have the city on your back, when the teachers want you to talk to the kids, do career day, when big time fashion designers who dress the biggest stars make personal cloths just for you ect.
This is my life and i've done all of this independently. It feels good to be successful and these women can learn alot from me. I've been where they are trying to go and I don't mind giving game because my mentors gave me the game. Life is about sharing information. Pass it along to others that can use it. My resume and network improves yearly and it's only because i have a hunger for success. This women empowerment campaign will be one of the biggest movements within this field as long as they understand one of my favorite quotes which is Learn To Listen and Listen To Learn."(Kenneth Monroe)
