Artist & musician David Tobey is hosting an opening party for his "Abstract Imaginaries 2012" exhibition of new paintings at Pleiades Gallery in New York City's Chelsea Art District on Saturday, may 19th.
On Sunday afternoon, March 11th at 3 p.m. a performance showcase sponsored by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts will be held in the New Rochelle Public Library's Ossie Davis Theatre, to honor a NRCA founder, Thea Eichler; who was a primary driving force behind the organization for over 30 years.

One of the results of Westchester sculptor and violinist David Tobey's two-and-a-half-month one-man show at the White Plains Museum in Westchester Councy has been that his work has been selected now for view at three other venues in the county, including The Washington Square Art Gallery in Rye Brook; James in Bedford Hills; and at the museum store at the Katohan Museum of Art in Katonah.
David Tobey, a Westchester Philharmonic violinist, painter & sculptor performed for 135 at The White Plains Library Foundation Treasures Gala April 9th. Tobey's currently having a one-man show of his artwork at the Library's Museum Gallery.

David Tobey, a graduate of The Juilliard School in New York City, who is a professional violinist and music teacher is also a painter and sculptor who has sponsored many benefit exhibitions of his work for not-for-profit organizations in the past. In November 2010 he will be exhibiting his art at Pleiades Gallery in New York and donating a full 50% of all proceeds from sales to Juilliard.
Artist and environmentalist Hilda Green Demsky, who is best known for her scenes of water landscapes -- waterfalls, seas, rivers and oceans has just returned from two grant grant-awarded travels in Ireland and Maine with new paintings that will be shown in her solo exhibition at Pleiades Gallery in New York in November.
