Exclusive Interview Released with Medical Device Usability Ahead of Pre-Filled Syringes Europe 2017

- (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2016 - SMi Group have released an Interview with Managing Director of Medical Device Usability, Richard Featherstone in advance of his presentation at the 9th annual Pre-Filled Syringes Europe (PFS) conference in Central London on 18th and 19th January 2017.
Richard will present current findings on injectable devices through a recent study amongst 136 patients, which he believes will provide valuable patient insight on device designs.
Richard highlights usability as one of the key factors he wants to bring to the conference. When questioned about what attendees will take away from his talk, Richard stated "Recently we have been doing a lot of our own research into the key drivers of usability for injection devices. We have just completed a study in the UK and US with patients, asking them what makes injection devices more or less usable. We have the first set of results in, and I will be sharing some of the key findings with the conference. This will be of interest to product designers, because it provides insight into what patients want from their injection devices."
Richard also said "The drive to include human factors from a very early stage in product development is absolutely the right way to go by understanding the users' perspective. For example, by finding out what patient's want, what they find helpful, what frustrates them?"
