Celebration of Life: A cancer Anthology has been launched on Kickstarter, raising the funds to print a comic anthology telling the inspiring stories of those affected by cancer, and in turn raising funds from the sale of the book to help beat cancer once and for all. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) March 25, 2015 - On 19th March 2015, Matthew Crehan of Matt Crehan Comics launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to tell the inspiring stories of those who have suffered, survived and been lost to cancer, and the people who have cared for and loved them.

The Anthology will be written and drawn by artistic teams from all over the world who have been affected by cancer, as they tell their personal stories through the medium of sequential art.

For Matthew, this Anthology is the celebration of his father's life, who battled bowel and liver cancer for five years but sadly passed away in June 2013.

When asked about what gave him the idea for the project, Matthew said: "A comic book is a wonderful way to show those happy moments we all experience in the darkest of hours. I wanted to build a creative outlet for those to remember and celebrate their loved ones."

The goal of the Kickstarter is to raise at least £1,000 by the 18th of April to cover the printing costs, with 100% of profits made from sales of the book going to a cancer charity chosen exclusively by the backers.
