Duane Ludwig was born and raised in Denver, CO. He says his inspiration to start fighting was mainly from Martial Arts movies and Rocky movies. Duane said he was always drawn to the individual combat aspect.

Ludwig has been a professional MMA fighter since 2000 when he debuted on Ring of Fire. Ludwig has a professional MMA fight record of 16 wins and 8 losses. Ludwig has fought all over the world against some of the top names in the industry.

Ludwig became a MMA World Champion in January 25, 2003 when he knocked former UFC 155 pound champion, Jens “Little Evil” Pulver. Ludwig holds the unofficial UFC knockout record at four seconds, over Jonathan Goulet, though a timing error by a Nevada State Athletic Commission official leaves the official record at 11 seconds.

Ludwig also has over 50 Muay Thai and Kickboxing matches. In 2002 he became K-1 MAX North American Champion. This victory led to a kickboxing career in Japan where he remains a fan favorite.

In January 2004, Ludwig reached the pinnacle of his professional kickboxing career by capturing the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) World Junior Middleweight Muay Thai championship in Denver. The victory was by no means simple as he was forced to contend with Thailand native Malaipet Sitprapom in a five-round, toe-to-toe war before earning a unanimous decision from the judges.

Duane's next fight is in Denver, Colorado's Broomfield Events Center on Friday, October 3rd. Knockout artist, Duane "Bang" Ludwig will be fighting "The Ultimate Fighter" season three veteran, Sam "The Squeeze" Morgan (19-10).
