DDR Public Relations Receives Advertising Club of Westchester's Big "W" Awards for Public Relations Campaigns.

DDR Public Relations, a public relations firm specializing in campaigns for nonprofits, school districts, and small and large businesses throughout the region, as well as global Fortune 500 companies received top honors for public relations campaigns created for two of its nonprofit clients, Gilda's Club Westchester and the Westchester Institute for Human Development, at this year's Advertising Club of Westchester's (ACW) 2010 Big "W" Awards. The awards celebrate the work of Westchester's top advertising, marketing, and public relations talent. The winning campaigns are designated as either "Bronze," "Silver" or "Gold." DDR Public Relations received Gold Awards for both of the campaigns submitted for judging.

"I am so excited that both of the programs we submitted were judged as "Gold," said Dawn Dankner-Rosen, president, DDR Public Relations. "I look forward to submitting more programs next year."

The Big "W" Awards reward excellence in creative and technical achievement in advertising, marketing, and promotion as determined by a panel of distinguished judges.

DDRPR's intensive public relations campaign for the Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD) focused on each of WIHD's most "popular" services including specialized dental care for people with disabilities, living with Autism and Assistive Technology. The recent openings of the Children's Advocacy Center, the Regional Center For Autism Spectrum Disorders and the Hudson Valley Special Education Parent Center were highlights of the campaign, along with the participation of local politicians at these events. In addition, a range of photography and graphic services were a featured component of the campaign including the writing and designing of brochures for each of WIHD's services, as well as an Annual Report and special publications for the Children's Advocacy Center and the Hudson Valley Special Education Parent Center

Gilda's Club Westchester, located in White Plains, NY, is a regional resource in social and emotional support for people living with cancer, along with their friends and family. This is DDRPR's fourth year as the agency-of-record for Gilda's Club Westchester, with this past year's new focus on embracing the entire family and family network of the person living with cancer (men, women, children and friends). A strategic media relations campaign was created to reach this demographic, which garnered hundreds of placements including features and bylined columns in target Westchester-based media.

For more than 20 years, DDR Public Relations has created new images and repositioned established ones with public relations, cause marketing and community relations campaigns.

"We combine out-of-the-box thinking and creativity with years of experience and a talent for anticipating and even, setting new trends," said Dawn Dankner-Rosen.
