    About Lion’s Heart
Lion’s Heart has nearly 350 teen Members in 21 groups. Lion’s Heart has just been selected the National Philanthropy Day 2009 Outstanding Youth Group of Orange County, and the award will be presented in November. Lion’s Heart Members have performed well over 25,000 hours of community service since its inception in 2004.

Lion’s Heart is a community service organization for teens in 6th-12th grades in Orange County, started by an Orange County mother and her son in 2004. Each Member must complete at least 30 hours of community service each year, with at least 5 of those hours helping our schools or tutoring other students. Groups are organized by grade and gender. Each group elects its own officers, conducts its own monthly meetings, and decides on group projects. This is not a fundraising organization and parents are not required to participate.
