  • (1888PressRelease) February 12, 2013 - With a great stock of villas and the holiday season stretching from the start of May to the end of September, the leading London estate agent Stirling Ackroyd anticipate a busy summer for their Ibiza holiday rentals. January has seen a very busy start to 2013 with enquires for the coming summer. So far this year there appears to be similar market conditions to last year and the bookings should remain steady through to April/May time.

The start of 2013 has seen a high demand in holiday rentals in Ibiza, primarily early bookings from families who are looking to have their summer holidays during school term time. Due to their dates being less flexible, families tend to look ahead and book early, therefore peak season dates at the end of July and August will always get booked up first. Costs peak during this season, so it is common for families to rent larger villas with other families and family members to share the price of the accomodation.

As Ibiza is the perfect location for a party, lots of early bookings also come from those looking to celebrate birthdays. Birthday celebrations are popular for those celebrating in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s as Ibiza is a fantastic place to celebrate and to feel young at heart as there is no limit on age to party and enjoy the Ibiza lifestyle. Ibiza is becoming more diverse with the types of celebrations tourists are travelling to the island for as it is gaining popularity each year for those looking to celebrate weddings and to renew their wedding vows.

Ibiza's continuing popularity as a holiday destination is partly due to new markets that are emerging from as far afield as Russia, USA, India and Australia. As well as those travelling across continents to enjoy the atmosphere of the island, Ibiza is always a popular choice from other European neighbours, and is another reason why demand is high in August as many businesses in mainland Spain, France and Italy will close for holidays during this month.

As well as gaining new visitors each year, Ibiza has a loyal fan base and is renowned for repeat visitors who like to keep coming back; for some they will visit the island a number of times each summer. The opening parties at the end of May and the closing parties at the end of September are always a busy time.

When speaking about demands for holiday rentals in Ibiza, Anthony Miller from Stirling Ackroyd Stated:

"The season in Ibiza will always remain strong due to its unique appeal, world fame and its loyal devotees. The longevity of the season is affected by the transport, namely the international flights to Ibiza. From June onwards we will be busy with last minute requests normally from those looking to escape the new rainy season summer in Northern Europe."
