  • (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2009 - “The Sun Smart Connection magazine is available free for download from the Skin Cancer Awareness Foundation’s website states William Barth, President and C.E.O. of the Foundation. “Our mission is to advocate the potentially life savings message of skin cancer awareness and prevention with UV protection and sun safety content. We want to connect all community members with this cause and encourage them to participate to make their communities more UV safe and healthy, especially for our kids”, concludes Barth.

The summer issue highlights products on the market being used to shade children’s playgrounds and outdoor play areas and tips on how to protect oneself from the sun’s harmful rays. Additional inspirational articles by skin cancer survivors, advice from dermatologists, features on sun-safe spas as well as healthy alternatives to tanning are included in the issue.

“To serve our growing readership in a more efficient manner, we listened to their request for a digital version of the Sun Smart Connection magazine and are pleased to share our first issue with all interested parties,” states Barth. “With digital Sun Smart Connection, you will be able to keep up with our coverage of important industry topics using the easy digital page turning method,” Barth adds.

“Digital does it and readers can easily navigate to a specific article or subject of interest with a quick key word search and also visit advertisers’ websites by just clicking on their URL link at the bottom of the ads.

“Read how communities across the country are stepping up to become Sun Smart Communities and get ideas and inspiration to make your community a Sun Smart Community for all kids (and parents) to play and enjoy the UV health smart way!”, concludes Barth.
