  • (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2011 - With areas of high pressure influencing the weather over the UK for much of the month of April, there was plenty of fine warm weather to enjoy outdoor activities and with the added bonus of two very long bank holiday weekends not to mention a Royal Wedding thrown in BBQBarbecues announced record barbecue sales on their e-commerce website

    According to news reports from the National BBQ Association it is thought that between 7 million and 7.5 million BBQ's were started over the two bank holiday weekends whilst the country basked in the sunshine.

    James Pickering, Product Manager of BBQBarbecues announced: "A combination of warm weather, clever marketing and the UK's love for a good barbecue meant that sales were a lot higher than expected and completely blitzed last year's figures.
