  • (1888PressRelease) February 16, 2009 - Zurich, Switzerland – SECUDE International AG today announces that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program to certify interoperability between FinallySecure Enterprise and the RSA SecurID® SID800 Hybrid Authenticator produced by RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC). This certification signifies that a technical partnership has been established to increase enterprise security for joint customers. FinallySecure is a hybrid Full Disk Encryption (FDE) solution that supports both software- and hardware-based full disk encryption. FinallySecure enables early adoption and migration to the upcoming wave of hardware–based FDE technologies such as Seagate Momentus Full Disk Encryption disk drives.

The RSA SecurID SID800 hybrid authenticator and SECUDE FinallySecure Enterprise are now technically interoperable to help provide increased protection for pre-boot authentication and hard disk encryption. Users can store the keys necessary to unlock the encrypted data on their hard drive on an RSA SecurID hybrid authenticator, which is the same device that can be enabled to generate one-time passwords, and in combonation with a user’s PIN, provide two-factor authentication capabilties to gain secure access to networked resources throughout the enterprise.

“Cooperation is a cornerstone of security,”, says Tristan Kromer, VP and General Manager of the Data Protection Division at SECUDE. “The challenges of today’s IT environment require strong companies working together in a partnership that produces more than the sum of it’s parts. SECUDE is very pleased to be working together with RSA to help protect customer data.”

“We are pleased that SECUDE has achieved interoperability between RSA SecurID technology and FinallySecure Enterprise as it is more critical than ever for enterprises to increase the security and access to valuable corporate information no matter where it lives or how it is accessed,” said D.J. Long, Senior Director, Corporate Development at RSA. “The technical interoperability between our products is a natural fit as the RSA SecurID hybrid authenticator is engineered to combine the simplicity and portability of an RSA SecurID authenticator with the flexibility of a smart card to provide users with a unified master key for securing both remote access and an organization’s critical data assets.”

SECUDE's FinallySecure provides total Data-at-Rest (DAR) security with software- or hardware-based Full Disk Encryption (FDE). FinallySecure is the first link in the End-to-End authentication chain, providing an Adaptive Technology with Risk Management and Productivity gains for end-to-end security. This complete security umbrella protects against loss of data, fines from non-compliance, and destruction of brand value.

FinallySecure Enterprise with centralized management fulfills critical business needs by allowing customer migration not only within the Windows® world, but with regards to the next generation of hardware-based Full Disk Encryption (FDE) hard disk drives (HDDs) being created by Seagate, Hitachi, Fujitsu, and others. Partnering with hardware vendors for encryption unlocks advantages such as increased performance, secure cryptographic erase functionalities, and advanced key management. Customers can close the legacy gap between old operating systems and new hardware by deploying one solution designed to meet rigorous data protection compliance standards while providing a greater experience for users and IT administrators.

FinallySecure allows businesses to survive, adapt and grow in a heterogeneous IT eco-system.
