(1888PressRelease) April 28, 2010 - Roland White, Fiddler from Bend Oregon placed First in the Senior Division at the Oregon State Championship Old Time Fiddle Contest held at Chemeketa Community College in Salem this past March.

Roland is a well known Central Oregon fiddle player and fiddle teacher. He also performs for weddings, parties, dances and community events throughout Central Oregon. He recently launched his web site Fiddlplay to promote fiddle music, fiddle teaching and live entertainment in Central Oregon. He is currently accepting additional Fiddle and Mandolin students.

The Oregon Old Time Fiddlers state association held the 45th Annual Championship Old Time Fiddle Contest at Chemeketa Community College, where fiddlers compete for the State championship in divisions that include Junior to Senior fiddlers from the State of Oregon. The Oregon Old Time Fiddlers Association is Certified with the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest and Festival held every June in Weiser Idaho.

As Certified winner for the Senior Division he is entered into into the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest that is held every year in June in Weiser Idaho. State Contest winners are also entered into the Certified Winner Showcase Contest during the Fiddle Festival and he will be featured in the National Fiddlers Hall of Fame for one year.
