  • (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2011 - Mobile technology startup Ps By The Way (PsBTW) today announced the beta launch of its free text messaging application for Android. The PsBTW application displays interactive Smart Mobile Coupons with incoming text messages; the official release will pay users for each coupon they view.

"It's an exciting model that benefits both phone users and businesses," said Adam Pollock, owner of PsBTW. "With the current couponing craze and the slow economy, being paid to receive coupons appeals to many consumers.

"We think people will welcome to chance to offset some of the sky high cost of their smartphone bills. Additionally, since coupons are only inserted with incoming messages PsBTW users never spam their friends," added Pollock.

The beta version of the PsBTW application is currently available as a free download in the Android Market. Businesses are able to distribute coupons at no charge during the testing period.

Although beta testers are not paid, once the app is officially released anyone using PsBTW will be paid $0.05 for each coupon viewed. Ten coupon views per day will yield an average of $180 a year. PsBTW users will be able to withdraw earned funds via PayPal as soon as their balance reaches $10 or more.

According to Pollock, the company's Android texting app also includes a number of user-friendly and interactive links. With one tap, PsBTW users can load directions on Google Maps, visit an advertiser's web site and Facebook page and communicate with an advertiser via text, email or phone.

"These new interactive elements benefit advertisers because, as consumers use them, businesses are building their brands and stronger relationships with users," said Pollock.

PsBTW expects to complete beta testing of its new Android texting app and start paying users during early 2012. An iPhone version of the app and Smart Video Coupons are also under development. PsBTW is also introducing its app model to clubs and non-profit organizations as a fundraising system.
