  • (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2009 - SAN FRANCISCO—Due to popular demand, Patrick Lencioni will be holding two, complimentary Webinars based on his popular, best-selling book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team (2002). These Webinars on May 7th and June 9th will be designed so teams using the Five Dysfunctions can get the most out of the books, the training tools and the principals contained in them.

The first webinar from 9:00am to 11:00am PST on May 7th titled, “Applying the Five Dysfunctions of a Team,” helps users make teamwork actionable and attainable. Pat and Jeff Gibson, Vice President of Consulting for Lencioni’s organization, The Table Group, will host this webinar to help expand knowledge of Five Dysfunctions content and related products. Table Group client teams from Barnes & Noble, Rackspace and Wal-Mart will be in attendance to share their experiences.

The second webinar from 10:00am to 11:30am PST on June 9th is titled, “Building a Healthy Organization in Challenging Times.” This webinar will address key fundamentals that can help position entrepreneurs to run a purposeful and healthy organization. Pat will interview two CEOs who are succeeding despite the current challenges by maintaining focus on a core set of principles. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to take a short, complimentary assessment to gauge their organization’s health and better understand the steps that can be taken for an immediate impact.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team has been a fixture on the Wall Street Journal’s Business Best-seller list since 2004. Lencioni and his firm, The Table Group, use the Five Dysfunctions of a Team as the foundation of their consulting practice where clients include Southwest Airlines, Barnes & Noble, McKesson, the NBA and Chick-fil-A.

Lencioni, recently named by Fortune magazine as one of “Ten New Gurus You Should Know,” advises that the best place for an investment right now is in the general health of an organization. In The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Lencioni advises focusing on improving the cohesiveness of the executive team which enables the executives and the entire company to clarify and recommit to the organization’s values and purpose. Doing this will require a little time and energy, but very little money. And it will yield significant returns now, and even more when the economy rebounds.

As the economy continues to crumble, companies are finding that the Five Dysfunctions of a Team can help them through the turbulent times. Matt Danilowicz, CEO of Clear-Com, a mission critical voice communications company, notes, “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team program not only restored the fiscal health of our company, it provided the crucial tools for us to face the economic downturn.”
