  • (1888PressRelease) May 28, 2009 - Picture this, you pop into your local travel agent pick up some brochures and wait for a holiday advisor to see you.

At last you get a seat and do the pleasantries, it’s now time to find your perfect holiday, unfortunately the first couple of holidays are just above your price range or the location is not what you wanted, but then the perfect holiday comes up but it’s just not the right time for you.

Your starting to feel pressure, thinking will you ever get the holiday you want this season, have you left it too late, surly not, its 6 months from now but all the best holidays are gone.

Suddenly when you’re starting to lose all hope your holiday advisor finds something that has just the right amount of seats for you and your loved ones, also it’s within your budget, thank goodness for that, even better your holiday advisor with their special know how can even save you a further 6 percent each.

Wow; the holiday advisor has been so helpful haven’t they, this emotional roller coaster leaves you beat, you just buy the holiday and go home feeling like you have achieved something great.

If this is you give yourself a slap! Yup, it’s sales person genius, don’t feel bad, it’s happened to me and everyone else I know, best part is you always get a great holiday (well 99 percent of the time) and put yourself through it all over again for your next holiday.

Surely there’s an easier way, yes there is, and I’m about to show you how in under two minutes.

The key here is to use the Internet for some fast and accurate research, wither you book a holiday on-line or off line, you should know how much your ideal holiday will cost you before you book, after all you would not go into a shop and pay 10bucks for a loaf of bread – Would You? Course Not as you know roughly what the price should be.

Holidays are the same; know the rough cost and you will not pay over the odds.

So where do you start – best place is either a preferred price comparison web site or if you don’t know any, try Google to find one, once in your price comparison web site of choice, do a search for your ideal package holiday e.g. “package holiday location preferably resort” if you know it.

Here’s what happens, depending on your location, the holiday web sites will list all the tour operators by cheapest first, so the idea here is let’s say you like Spain and you would happily go to 7 or 8 resorts, check each resort in turn and you are looking to see if one or a couple of tour operators constantly have the best prices, you could either go directly to this tour operator and phone them for the best deals or this will give you the best price to use as a comparison if you go to your local high street who will often beat or price match.

If you get no joy, you can always book online, just make sure the web site you book through is ABTA registered and that you book through a debit card (As A Full Refund Will Be Given If The Company Goes Bust Or are Fraudulent), if you pay your debit card back once your statement comes through, you will not occur interest charges, just check with your bank first.

Package Holiday Rip Off – You and 80% of the population; and now you know how not to fall victim.

Top Tip – If you live in the UK like I do, I recommend you try http://www.gopackageholidays.co.uk/ as it searches the UK’s largest Tour Operator database Fast.

I have actually booked many great deals through it.
