  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2011 - Tree Work Now LLC (a leading tree trimming company in Orlando) was represented by its owner, Evan Keller, on the September 24, 2011 Volusia Honor Air Flight 8. Since the World War 2 Memorial was only recently completed (in 2004), many veterans who are yet alive are not able to visit it without the logistical and financial support this program provides. Additionally, vets are able to do so in a community of 100 comrades.

Flight 8 included decorated servicemen and women, including a B-26 pilot, a Tuskegee Airman with a Congressional Medal of Honor, recipients of the Flying Cross and other prestigious awards. Above all, these are men and women of character worthy of honor and respect. They were greeted by a live band and hundreds of cheering citizens at Ronald Reagan, including Congressman John Mica who spent the entire day with the group.

Visits to the World War 2 Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, and the Marines Memorial were deeply moving for these soldiers who served their country so well and changed the course of history as they defeated Hitler and his ideology. Another highlight was the surprise "Mail Call" on the flight home during which each veteran received many personalized letters from friends, family, and school children thanking them for their service to their country and the cause of freedom. Hundreds of Central Floridians welcomed them home at Daytona International Airport.

Tree Work Now is proud to be an Orlando tree trimming company which supports this program financially and through volunteering. The owner of this Orlando tree service was a "Guardian" on this flight, guiding vets safely through the day and hearing their amazing stories of courage and patriotism. We heartily endorse this program to both veterans who may want to participate and volunteers who may want to give of their time to help make the upcoming Flight 9 a reality.
