Leading Property Management Firm’s Fund-Raising Efforts Has Now Reached $1.34 million for Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) April 03, 2026 - Powerstone Property Management Inc., a full-service Orange County, California based property management firm, announced today that the company raised $115,249 at the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) during a series of fund-raising events leading up to the Reaching for the Cure, walk/run event held on March 22, 2026. The event featured 4000 participants with 76 different fundraising teams. Powerstone’s team of 61 people included staff as well as corporate partners. Powerstone has participated for 15 years, and CEO René Decker said: “Ever since we adopted PCRF as our preferred charity and partner in 2011 we have been able to raise $1.34 million. It’s rewarding to be a part of such an important, life-saving mission. The fact that our team and corporate partners are so committed to this cause is quite gratifying and once again I’m proud to say that the team ranked first in fund raising. The money we raise here is literally saving children with innovative research.”
Executive Director of Management Services, Kylie Decker, who organizes Powerstone’s involvement in the annual event, had this to say: “I’m always excited about this event and that our Team Powerstone continues to be a vital part in raising money to fight what is the leading cause of death by disease for children under age 20 in the United States.”
The event which celebrated its 28th anniversary was held at Irvine Valley College. Powerstone was recognized as the top team this year, raising enough money to fund over 2,300 hours of pediatric cancer research. Danielle Fragalla, Chief Executive Officer of PCRF said: “Events like this allow us to invest in cutting edge research while also providing necessary resources so families have the care and support they need. This year, Teaching for the Cure raised over $700,000, I want to thank everyone who participated this year, it’s heart-warming to see their generosity and commitment to saving the lives of children.”
