Tree Work Now commits to donating part of its proceeds from its Orlando tree trimming and removal services to benefit victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.
Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2010 - This Orlando tree service has been using its time, talents and treasures to benefit Haiti over a span of several years and is committed to continuing - even accelerating - their investment in our hemisphere's poorest nation.
The current commitment to donate proceeds of its Orlando tree trimming and removal services to Haiti follows some creative ways of using company resources to do good. When funds were needed to drill a well in Haiti, Tree Work Now company owner Evan Keller agreed to complete an extensive tree removal and tree trimming job at no cost to a particular customer with the understanding that he would donate $2000 to the church coordinating the well-drilling trip to Haiti. Keller led that trip to bring water to a waterless village and has been to Haiti five times in the last three years.
Tree Work Now plans to make an earthquake rebuilding trip to Haiti later this year, but in the meantime is committing for at least two months to contribute 10% of its Orlando tree service profit to ongoing relief efforts in Haiti.
Keller has established a non-profit organization called Entrust over the past two years to mentor and train micro-entrepreneurs as they break free from chronic poverty. This organization connects American business people to those in developing nations who are struggling to establish and grow business to benefit their families and communities.
Tree Work Now makes these commitments in efforts to offer a measure of solidarity with those who have undergone such heart-wrenching misfortune.
