  • (1888PressRelease) March 18, 2009 - The MICE market (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) in Thailand is poised for substantial growth. Novotel Suvarnabhumi has recently launched new discounts and incentives for executive travelers, to capitalize on the predictions.

The promotions for executive travelers cover several of the hotel's service areas. The Bangkok airport hotel will be offering:
    • 25% discount at Vous Spa for executive visitors, and
    • Complimentary wireless internet access on the executive floor

Additionally, the hotel has partnered with Suvarnabhumi Tailor's House, located on the hotel's lobby level, to offer a 20% discount on custom-tailored suits. These suits can be made within 10 hours, offering even executives only staying overnight the chance to top up their work wardrobe. Customers must bring in the advertisement from Novotel Suvarnabhumi's March newsletter to take advantage of the special.

A strategy is in place to top up the MICE industry with domestic visitors, and TCEB (Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau) is also launching a new marketing initiative for international guests. “Despite the global financial crisis and local political problems, the TCEB and operators will revise their strategies to strengthen and encourage Thailand to be the top destination for domestic and international MICE activities,” TCEB President Natwut Amornvivat said of the plan.

Thailand is in Asia's top 5 exhibition markets, which is traditionally quite a resilient industry, according to UFI Asia-Pac manager Paul Woodward.

The discount at Vous Spa for executives will mean a wide range of the spa's most popular treatments begin at US$25 at current exchange rates, with the most luxuriant 3-hour treatments costing only US$110.
