  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2010 - If New Yorkers missed the 1st A.E.R Walk With Style fashion gala in March 2009, you're still in luck. The Tesla Group has wasted no time in preparing for their 2nd annual Charity Gala held to benefit CancerCare in honor of lung cancer recipients and survivors at Go-Xchange on April 1, 2010.

As last years event was hosted by Crystle Stewart Miss USA, NFL star Darren Sharper, and guest speakers Alex and Simon from Bravo's "The Real Housewives Of New York," The Tesla Group is ensuring this year's event will be bigger and better. With NY Jets amazing season, its no wonder The Tesla Group was quick to secure NFL star Kerry Rhodes as a host.

"I'm very excited to be apart of such a great cause, cancer affects each and every one of us whether directly or indirectly and anything I can do to help someone with this deadly disease I am honored to do so," says Kerry Rhodes. Hosting alongside Kerry Rhodes will be the face of Estee Lauder and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit supermodel Hilary Rhoda. "I am so happy to host the 2010 A.E.R. Walk with Style event to benefit CancerCare. Lung cancer is a serious issue and I am honored that The Tesla Group has asked me to help raise awareness and funds to support those affected by the disease," says Hilary Rhoda. Returning for the second annual event is the ultimate party rocker DJ Mad Linx. Additional guests participating in the event include celebrity stylists, music artists, New York socialites, and young professionals, along with supporters and friends of CancerCare.

Changes to the event feature a Greek theme with a private outdoor loft overlooking the Hudson River for celebrities in the V.I.P area includes gift bags from some of the event's many sponsors. The night will start off with a press junket and red carpet followed by complimentary cocktails and passed hors'd oeuvres that lead into the fashion show, guest speakers, and silent auction.

Despite the economy there are over 20 sponsors that have provided their support including: Daniel Koye, Micheal Antonio, Culinary Couture, Victoria Secret, Laundress, OPI, Judith Ripka, April Marin, Laila Azhar, What A Girl Wants, My pour Moi, Victoria Stiles, 13th Ave Florists, Philosophy, Pearl Vodka, Hint Water, Diamond Club International, TR Luxury, and more.

A.E.R which stands for (Advocate, Educate, Revolutionize) places an emphasis on encouraging a younger generation to help raise awareness about the leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women. The Tesla Group remains committed and passionate about continuing its relationship with its beneficiary CancerCare. CancerCare provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer, but what a lot of people don't know is that CancerCare even provides support to people who have also survived cancer, helping them to regain a sense of normalcy. "We need more organizations that have such compassion for people," says Ahlilah Longmire, CEO of The Tesla Group.

"We're incredibly grateful for the support we've received from The Tesla Group," says Helen Miller, CancerCare's CEO. "Their generosity has helped ensure that our organization continues to reach as many people as possible who are facing cancer in this country."

Both general and V.I.P tickets to the 2nd Annual A.E.R "Walk With Style Event" are available for purchase at www.AEREVENT.com. We stress the importance and significance of what each and everyone of us can do to make a difference, lets continue this in 2010 and for years to come.
